🪡 Terms and Conditions of Purchase

Feathers and Finery Millinery Design (hereby known as F&F). By entering into a commission contract or purchasing a ready to wear item with F&F, you agree to the following:

   F&F trades within the UK Consumer Rights but cannot hold any obligation to accept returns on commissioned items, this is in line with UK Consumer Law. It is the buyer's responsibility to have previously physically tried styles and colours of headwear before an F&F purchase, we cannot accept returns because the buyer feels the headpiece does not suit them or they have changed their mind.

   The buyer accepts that no colour match will ever be 100% accurate, and understands that colours on different monitors and screens may vary to the actual product. Bespoke orders will not be accepted without a colour swatch or sample, and work will not be started until said sample has been received and colour(s) agreed.

3. 3

   A non returnable deposit of the asking price must be paid before work will start on any commission piece. Once the deposit has been paid and materials have been ordered no refund can be given and there is then no right to a cooling off period. Photos of the finished piece will be sent to the buyer for approval. Once approved, payment of the balance must be made before the headpiece is dispatched.

   Sample and ready to wear items must be paid for in full before dispatch.

   F&F will securely pack and clearly mark packages as fragile and ensure that the item leaves us in perfect condition before dispatch via Royal Mail or Courier. We do try to recycle packaging materials for the sake of the environment wherever possible. You will appreciate that once the parcel has left our premises we have no control over its safety. We will however pursue any claims for damage with Royal Mail or the Courier, and may come to a mutual agreement relating to any potential reimbursement. In this situation we are not liable for any return postage costs and a fee for our incurred postage for additional alterations to a headpiece may apply.

6. 6

   F&F will do everything in their power to ensure the piece arrives by the agreed date, however cannot take responsibility for late delivery due to postal delays, buyer non collection, strikes or Courier error.

7. 7

   All prices quoted include P&P, there may be an additional surcharge for Northern Ireland, Highlands and Islands of Scotland. F&F will not post to addresses out of the UK without prior agreement. In such cases buyers must be aware of and will be responsible for any customs and taxes incurred.

8. 8

   F&F reserves the right to add reasonable fees onto a previously agreed commission piece that needs to be altered or further trimmings added at the request of the buyer, this must be paid prior to dispatch.

9. 9

   F&F reserves the right to replace bases or trimmings with similar or better quality items if the original items are unavailable.

10. 10

    F&F will, on no account, copy any other Milliner's work. Buyers may submit photos to assist with the design process but these will not be replicated under any circumstances.

11. 11

    Buyers are asked to understand that each piece is handmade and to allow for small tolerances in terms of size, colour and design.
